Due to a technical issue, the DV-2019 entry period that began on October 3 was closed. Entries submitted during October 3-10 are not valid and have been excluded from the system; they did not count as a duplicate entry. A new full entry period began at noon, Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday October 18, 2017 and ran until noon Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday November 22, 2017. Only entries submitted during this period were accepted and considered for selection in the lottery. Please throw away any confirmation number or other documentation that you have if you submitted an entry during Oct. 3-10.

DV-2019 Entrants may enter their confirmation information through the link below starting at noon (EDT) on May 15, 2018. The DV-2019 entry period opened on October 18, 2017, and closed on November 22, 2017. Only confirmation information for entries submitted during this period are valid for checking your status. DV-2019 Entrants should keep their confirmation number until September 30, 2019.

DV-2018 Entrants have until September 30, 2018 to check the status of their entry through this website. The DV-2018 registration period was from October 4, 2016, until November 7, 2016.

4) RESULTS DV 2019 in year 2017
In order to check your status you have to enter the website www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC and click on "continue" or enter directly here, than fill out the form:
1. Confirmation Number – enter your unique confirmation number
2. Last Name – enter last name as was used during the lottery
3. Year of Birth – (example 1961)
4. Authentication – enter code from the screen and enter "Submit".
Than print information and follow instructions posted online once you find out that you won the Green Card.
Entrant Status Check will be the sole means of informing you of your selection for DV, providing instructions on how to proceed with your application, and notifying you of your appointment for your immigrant visa interview.
The Department of State does NOT notify successful DV applicants by letter or email.
Applying for the entry draw is free although the selected people must meet for the following expenses:
- Processing fees.
- Medical Examinations.
- Travelling expenses.
- USCIS administration fees
DV-2019 visas will be issued between October 1, 2018, and September 30, 2019.
5) US Green Card Lottery DV Program provides 55,000 Diversity Visas (DV) each fiscal year. Persons are drawn from the randomly selected entries from the persons who meet strict eligibility requirements from countries with low rates of immigration to the U.S. It is officially called the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program and provides the US green card to those selected and who go through the entire process of getting the immigrant US visa.
6) What is Green Card and what kind of benefits is offered?
Green Card (...legal staying in USA) is a document which gives benefits:
permission for legal residence in U.S. al staying in USA,
permission to work in any company located in U.S. territory,
permission to start own business and create own corporation,
ability to legal enter/leave the U.S.,
right to apply for social services,
right to apply for government-sponsored financial aid for education,
eligibility to apply to U.S. citizenship later,
ability to sponsor and invite spouse and unmarried children up to 21 year-old,
eligibility to buy property and apply for mortgage in local bank.
